Kyra’s Winning Entry – What I like about Sleaford

Here is Ben’s Letter to the Future:

Dear Future Sleaford

With more and more houses being built in Sleaford, there is an increasing demand for a wider range of activities to do within the town, especially for young people.

In Sleaford, there is a large proportion of young people and three secondary schools. Unfortunately, the rest of the town does not accommodate for this amount of young people. While there are parks and the leisure centre, there are not enough places that attract young people to the town. Young people would rather go take their money to Lincoln and spend it there. This takes money away from Sleaford and ultimately won’t help our town. To solve this problem, I believe that it is essential that we allow funding to be directed towards some attractions that Lincoln has, this would include a wider range of shops and a wider range of leisure facilities. And improvement in Sleaford’s attraction to young people would allow more money to be brought into the town and would also create more jobs in Sleaford itself, allowing the town to adapt to an increasingly automated and online world.

Yours sincerely, Ben

A great photo from Olivia who says her favourite place in Sleaford is the bench outside the National Centre for Craft and Design. Olivia likes the peaceful spot and sitting watching the ducks.
